Embark on a full day tour to uncover the harvesting process of Nama at a local Fijian village on Naviti Island. Located in the stunning Yasawa group of islands, you will enjoy panoramic scenic views over the Pacific Ocean as you arrive at Naviti by seaplane.
Learn about the skin-rejuvenating properties of Nama and how it is collected from the seabed and carefully processed to preserve its organic qualities. Your guide will assist you to source clusters of Nama sea grapes from the ocean yourself, bringing to life the harvesting process and connecting you with this natural Fijian commodity.
Your lunch will then be prepared by the local village; immerse yourself in this island experience and enjoy some delicious Fijian cuisine. Lunch is followed by a traditional Nama massage therapy treatment that will offer pure relaxation and indulgence – Heroing the Nama sea grape and showcasing its versatile and therapeutic qualities.
Savour your final moments of tranquility on the island before departing back to Nadi by seaplane. You will then board your road transfer to the Essence of Fiji Rejuvenation Centre where you can browse the Nama product range and enjoy some shopping, ending your day by taking home some beautiful skincare products derived from the very Nama you sourced on the island.

What is Nama?
Nama is a variety of organic sea grape sourced from the pristine Blue Lagoon waters of Fiji.
These sea grapes provide the ultimate level of hydration, used to create organic skincare that plumps skin cells and minimizes fine lines. It has been discovered to be an alternative hydration to Hyaluronic Acid, however in the purest organic form.
Nama is a sustainable food source and a popular dish eaten in many households in Fiji. Harvesting of these beneficial sea grapes for the Nama of Fiji skincare range adds another valuable commodity to the village families of Fiji.

Your Nama Life Itinerary
7:00am
Pick up from your resort or hotel. Road transfers for Nadi/Denarau locations are provided by shuttle courtesy of Essence of Fiji. Return transfers from Momi, Natadola and Coral Coast are available at an additional cost.
8:30am
Depart Nadi with Pacific Island Air. Enjoy a stunning scenic flight over the Yasawa group of islands as you head to your destination at Naviti Island. An approximate half hour flight.
9:00am
Arrive and disembark at Naviti Island. Your seaplane will make a grand landing in Somosomo Bay where a boat will collect you to bring you ashore to Somosomo Village.
9:15am
Welcome ceremony and Nama briefing. Enjoy your warm welcome by the people of the village and take part in a traditional Fijian kava ceremony. You will then be briefed on the Nama harvesting process by your guide.
10:00am
Commence Nama harvest activities. Enjoy a short boat ride out to the Nama harvesting spot where you will learn how to locate and pick strands of Nama sea grapes. Take in your beautiful surroundings as ocean stretches around you for miles.
11:00am
Return to the village for free time. Take a break once you return from your harvesting session by relaxing on the beach or snorkelling in the crystal clear waters.
12:00pm
Enjoy your special Nama lunch. Gather around together to enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by the village, including local root crops and a special Nama dish.
2:00pm
Indulge in a special Nama therapy treatment. Be guided down to the beachfront cabana for your therapeutic Nama massage and treatment. Release as you listen to the gentle crashing of the waves.
3:00pm
Enjoy free time to relax. After your treatment you may wish to indulge in other spa therapy options that are available, or simply relax on the beach as the day comes to an end.
3:30pm
Depart Naviti Island via seaplane. Bid Somosomo Village farewell as you board the seaplane and embark on your trip back to the mainland.
4:00pm
Arrive in Nadi for shopping. Once you have arrived back at the Domesitic Airport Terminal, head off on a short drive to the Essence of Fiji Rejuvenation Centre to browse and shop the exclusive Nama skincare range.
6:00pm
Transfer back to your resort/hotel.
